Liberation Assembly Church International is not just another church, neither is it a product of circumstance nor accident. It has been foreordained by God as part of His desire to fulfill the commission for winning souls for Christ through effective evangelism. Like a step of a thousand leagues, the church started with ten people. Later God added to the church and it increased to fifteen people. Like the biblical mustard seed, the church blossomed with God’s teaching and miracle through the servants of God, Apostle George Ikwunze and his amiable wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Ethna Ikwunze.
In furtherance of God’s work the ministry acquired a fellowship venue at Pam Pam Hotel in Ikeja; the heart of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2000. The church revived lost hope and made them heroes in different field of endeavours and by divine grace lifting them from the abyss of nothingness and oblivion into the orbit of dignity.
With these transformations the need for a bigger church space became a pleasant challenge. Thus, the relocation to another venue in Ikeja and after two years of God’s manifestation of grace the Liberation Assembly Church International moved to its present headquarters in Ogba, Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the General Overseer, Apostle George, it was Herculean task in relocating the ministry to Ogba. He said, “The instruction came when the Church had no money in the bank account. But God backed it up with His promise. The corporate headquarters is a miracle in confirmation to God’s Word.”
And since the inception of the church in 2000, the ministry has made tremendous impact in the lives of people and the congregation of saints in Nigeria and abroad.
