George Chidiebere Ikwunze is the senior pastor of the Liberation Assembly Church International, Lagos. Born in Amarfor Isingwu, a village in present day Abia State, South Eastern Nigeria, on 30th May, 1966. He started his primary education in Duala, Ivory Coast and completed it in the Community Primary School, Abia State. He later proceeded to the Community Secondary School in the same state.
George a successful businessman had a dramatic encounter with Jesus in the year 2000. This experience endeared him to the need to hear directly from God and not only from ministers of the gospel. Finally, the Lord spoke in clear terms and simplistic manner after which he acquired ministerial training at the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), Lagos in 2000.
At the completion of his pastoral programme at WOFBI, he was ordained into the ministry by Bishop Anietie Etukudoh, the founder and senior pastor of the Livingproof Bible Church, this heralded the emergence of the Liberation Assembly Church International. There has been a great transition of the church which started from Ikeja to the present corporate headquarters located at Ogba, Lagos State. His style of preaching as endeared the congregation of saints to call him ‘daddy.’ His ministry has transformed many lives.
His quest for effective organization of church administration, which is hinged on continuous education, gave him a doctorate degree in Divinity from International Circle of Faith (ICOF), Washington D.C. USA, an affiliate of Howard University in 2005. He has also undergone several correspondence courses and other self-study programmes.
Apostle George Ikwunze’s great compassion for the lost souls both in Nigeria and abroad opened a new chapter in the history of his ministerial work. A man of integrity who emphasizes the integrity of the Word of God was called into the Apostolic Ministry in 2004. He is a teacher and preacher in great demand for seminars, conferences, crusades and conventions.

Apostle George Ikwunze is the President of the board of trustee of the Divine Bible Institute, Lagos. A platform to train and equip Christians for leadership qualities and the onslaught against the kingdom of darkness.
He is a registered member of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ikeja zone. He was the erstwhile Treasurer of the Body between 2001 – 2003. The Liberation Assembly Church International participated in the relief programme for the Ikeja Bomb Blast victims in conjunction with the PFN.
George is an accomplished author, his latest book, “Discovering the Real You,” has gained a wide readership. He is also the authored the “Heavenly Strategies to Escape Earth’s Tragedy,” a book that reveals the secrets of prosperous Christian work.
Apostle George Chidiebere is happily married to his heartthrob, Pastor (Mrs.) Ethna Ikwunze, a motivational teacher of the Word of God. His contributions to the development of the total man won him the Development in Nigeria Merit Award, 2005 organised by People State and Resource Magazine.
