Pastor Ethna Afoma Ikwunze is an achiever, a motivational speaker with ministry gifts. A graduate of Banking and Finance from the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu. A banker turned pastor. She worked with several finance institutions like, Fredickson Finance, 21st Century Finance, Goldstock Finance, to mention a few, where she served at the management levels. Pastor Ethna Ikwunze is no means a lesser achiever.
An encounter with the Lord in 1984 caused a turning point in her life. Her conviction about Jesus Christ endeared her for more discoveries about the great commission – reaching out to the unsaved through the gospel of our Lord Jesus and ministry gifts. In her quest to know the manifold wisdom of God’s work she got the call into the ministry in 1994, where she served the Body of Christ within her reach. She was an active member of TREM (The Redeemed Evangelical Mission).
Pastor Ethna Ikwunze proceeded to the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) to acquire knowledge for ministry work in 1996. She also attended conferences on church administration to update herself. One of such seminars was the Morris Cellulo Conference on Leadership in 1999.
While her husband was busy with building his business enterprise, Pastor Ethna Ikwunze was a strong adherent of the Christian faith. In 1998, the Lord told her in a vision that she was going to start a ministry but she will later hand it over to her husband in year 2000. After which she shared the vision with her husband who refuted her.
The ministry eventually took off with 10 people later it grew to 15 members, then its membership increased to 40 members. Her husband, Apostle George Ikwunze assisted her in all ramifications – morally, financially and otherwise.
In 2000, the Lord visited her husband in the vision of the night. He tells the story better in these flamboyant expressions: “In 2000, I was asleep when the Lord visited me and the first question He asked me was whether I knew why I married Ethna? He revealed to me that I married her for the purpose of the ministry. The Lord also disclosed to me that our marriage was divine which is intertwined with His assignment for me here on earth. He dealt with me that night in a serious manner.”
Wisdom the Bible says is justify by her children, today, Apostle George Ikwunze runs the Liberation Assembly Church International as the General Overseer in ample support of his amiable wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Ethna Ikwunze and they both reside Lagos, Nigeria.
She has a clear cut ministry to the women folks where hope is given to the hopeless. It is a platform for addressing issues that bothers on the marriage institution. Pastor Ethna also ministers to single parents and widows. She is in high demand for conference, seminars and conventions. She is a motivational speaker with a healing message to the women folks.
